Golden Bears led 31-14 with 14:00 left in the game.
SMU rallied to take lead, but Cal scored game-winning TD with 0:43 left.
Mustangs missed a 52-yard field at the end that would’ve forced overtime.
Result puts 7-5 Duke in the ACC title game, against Virginia.

— Alabama 27, Auburn 20
Alabama drove 75 yards, scored game-winning TD with 3:50 left.
Alabama led this game 17-0 early in second quarter.
Alabama-Georgia is the SEC title game next Saturday. 

— Ohio State 27, Michigan 9
Buckeyes snap a four-game losing skid against their arch-rival.
Michigan scored on 3 of first 4 drives, but they kicked 3 field goals.
Rest of game, Michigan ran 18 plays for 39 yards, and no points.

— Troy 28, Southern Miss 18
Goose Crowder threw three TD passes for the 8-4 Trojans.
Troy outgained Southern Miss 428-304, overcame 11 penalties for 87 yards.
Troy will play James Madison in the Sun Belt title game next weekend.

QB Pavia threw for 268 yards, ran for 165 more.
Game was tied 21-21 at halftime.
First time ever Vanderbilt won 10+ games in the regular season.

— Baltimore Orioles signed reliever Ryan Helsley to a 2-year, $28M contract; Helsley had 21 saves for St Louis last year, but they traded him to the Mets at the trade deadline and he didn’t do well in New York, posting a 7.20 ERA in 22 games as a set-up man.

— Stanford Cardinal hired Washington Commanders QB coach Tavita Pritchard as its new football coach. Pritchard is a former Stanford quarterback who was also an assistant coach there from 2010-22.

— Texas A&M is 11-1 after getting upset Friday; they’ve beaten four teams who fired their coach during the season.

— Lions/Cowboys both play every year on Thanksgiving; how do they do the next week, with the little mini-bye built into their schedules? 

Last 11 years, Dallas is 7-4 ATS in their game after Thanksgiving.
