San Antonio led 76-49 at halftime…….and they lost.
Down 29 at one point, Knicks had the biggest comeback ever in a Finals game.
New York shot 15-32 behind the arc.
Knicks were minus-12 in the 4:00 Jalen Brunson sat on the bench.
Game 5 is Saturday in San Antonio; Knicks lead series, 3-1.

— Giants 11, Nationals 10
Washington led 9-1 in the 8th inning…….and they lost.
Bryce Eldridge hit a walk-off grand slam to send the fans home happy.
Major league teams trailing by 8+ runs in the 8th inning had lost 4,291 consecutive games, with the last comeback as big as this one back in 2009 (Cleveland).

Chicago is in first place for first time since the end of the 2021 season.
Davis Martin threw six scoreless IP; he is 9-2, 2.41 this year.

Cubs have lost seven of their last nine games.

Jose Siri had a walk-off single for the Halos.
Reid Detmers didn’t allow a baserunner until the sixth inning.
Mike Trout, Logan O’Hoppe homered for the Angels.

— Brendan Sorsby is going to play QB for Texas Tech this fall; he will miss Tech’s first two games, against a I-AA team followed by Oregon State, then he’ll be good to go. A Texas judge granted Sorsby a preliminary injunction; by the time that is resolved, the season will be over.

Sorsby was ruled ineligible by the NCAA after they found out he had bet approximately $90,000 on pro and college sports over four years, including 40 bets involving Indiana football when he was a freshman with the Hoosiers in 2022.

— Dodgers 1B Freddie Freeman got his 2,500th career hit Tuesday night, one of the quieter great careers in modern baseball.

— Milwaukee Brewers signed 21-year old OF prospect Luis Lara for seven years, with $31M in guaranteed money, maxing out with a possible $79M.

— Pirates 9, Dodgers 8
Dodgers led this game 6-1 in the 7th inning.
Rookie Tyler Callihan hit his first two big league homers.
Just the Pirates’ second win in their last eight games.

Elias Diaz had the game-winning hit for Texas.
