Monday’s Den: Happy Armadillo Day!!!!

— Happy Armadillo Day!!!!

25 years ago today, we started this blog— typing that made me feel old……lol

It is fun doing this every day; hope you enjoy reading it.

Cincinnati lost eight of its last ten games.

— White Sox 6, Dodgers 4
Down 1-0, White Sox hit three home runs in the 6th inning.
Chicago has won its last eight home series.
White Sox used five pitchers; none of them got more than 8 outs.

— Rockies 23, A’s 9
For some stupid reason (the hockey game???) they started this game at noon in Las Vegas, when it was 101 degrees outside (the new stadium will be covered).

A’s went 4-2 in Las Vegas this week; they scored 23 runs in the two losses. Now they go back “home” to Sacramento now, for the rest of the season. Pitching in Sacramento might seem like a cake walk after a week in the dry heat of the desert.

— Dawned on me the other night that I was in 8th grade the last time the Knicks won an NBA title……I was freakin’ 13 years old. My dad would’ve loved watching this team play.

— When I was a kid, loved game shows- Hollywood Squares was my favorite. Was watching some re-runs the other night of Match Game 74, with Gene Rayburn hosting and six famous people trying to match contestants answers. Pretty good show, but damn that was a long time ago. Richard Dawson was one of the celebrities, before he hosted Family Feud.

AL: Bronx, White Sox, Mariners. Wild Cards: Rays-Guardians-A’s/Tex

I've been involved in sports my whole life, now just write about them. I like to travel, mostly to Las Vegas- they have gambling there.
