— Anthony Gose is a relief pitcher for Kansas City; from 2011-16, he was an OF for the Blue Jays/Tigers, where he hit .240. When he stopped hitting well, he became a pitcher. He’s 36 now, interesting career.
— Giants 1B Rafael Devers had 28 RBI in his last 18 games, he was red-hot at the plate, but he is out for the year now. Turns out he was nursing a core muscle injury which requires surgery.
