— Knicks 94, Spurs 90
Knicks win their first NBA title since 1973.
Knicks outscored San Antonio 29-18 in 4th quarter.
Jalen Brunson scored 45 points.
Last two games, Victor Wembanyama shot 16-44 from the floor.

— Dodgers 7, White Sox 1
Yamamoto had a perfect game going, until an error by the SS in 8th inning.
Guy on White Sox homered leading off the 9th, breaking up the no-hitter.
Max Muncy hit two home runs, had four RBI.

— Phillies 9, Brewers 8
JT Realmuto went 3-for-4, with four RBI.
Game was 3-3 after five innings; Phillies scored five runs in the sixth.
Jhoan Duran recorded his 18th save.

— Braves 3, Mets 1
Eli White went 3-for-4, with a home run.
Braves’ bullpen got the last 11 outs, allowing only two hits.
Bo Bichette is hitting 14-36 (.389) over his last nine games.

— Guardians 3, Tigers 1
Daniel Schneemann hit a two-run homer for Cleveland.
Guardians’ star Jose Ramirez broke his left hand, is headed to the IL.
Tarik Skubal threw 80 pitches in his return from the injured list.

— Red Sox 6, Rangers 3
Ceddane Rafaela’s two-run single in the 7th was a game-winning hit.
Jarren Duran hit a two-run homer for Boston.
Boston wins this series; they were 0-7-1 in their previous 8 home series.

— Louisville 27, DC Defenders 20
Kings win the UFL in their first year in the league, after an 0-3 start.
Defenders led 16-7 at halftime.
Louisville’s only first half TD was scored by their defense.
Louisville’s coach is former NFL QB Chris Redman; this was his first year as a coach.

Ivan Herrera ht two home runs for St Louis.
Blaze Jordan hit his first major league homer.
Game was 4-4 after six innings; Cardinals scored 5 runs in the 7th.

— Pirates 3, Marlins 2
Winning run scored on hit-by-pitch with bases loaded in 8th inning.
It is June 14, and the Pirates are over .500 (36-35).
Loss ends the Marlins’ six-game winning streak. 

— Padres 9, Orioles 3
San Diego hit five home runs, two in the first inning.
Samad Taylor’s home run was his first in the major leagues. 
Orioles had eight guys bat with two out, no one on base; those eight guys went 6-for-6 with two walks. That hadn’t happened in the major leagues since 1974.

— Nationals 8, Mariners 3
Washington scored three unearned runs in the first inning.
CJ Abrams went 3-for-4, scored twice, had two RBI
Four Nationals relievers got the last 12 outs, didn’t allow a run.

— Reds 2, Diamondbacks 1
Noelvi Marte hit the game-winning homer in 8th inning.
Mike Soroka allowed only two hits in seven IP.
Just second win for Cincinnati in their last nine games.

— Astros 8, Royals 7
Kansas City led 7-5 after seven innings.
Yordan Alvarez was 3-for-5; his OPS is freakin’ 1.093.
Royals are 28-42, tied with Angels for worst record in the AL.
